  1. Pour the syrup or juice into a small heatproof bowl. If using a fruit/flavored syrup (thick, not runny) then add the 1 tbsp water to it and stir until incorporated and smooth.

  2. Sprinkle the gelatin powder over the syrup/water or juice and let sit for a minute or two to absorb some of the liquid on its own. Then stir until mostly incorporated.

  3. Microwave for 15 seconds. Stir. Microwave for another 15 seconds.
    You can skip the microwave and heat this up over the stove if you are uncomfortable using the microwave when making food for kiddos! Simply stir while it heats up and remove from heat once the gelatin is fully dissolved.

  4. Skim off the foamy layer that appears on top. This foam will affect the translucency of your gummies!

  5. Use a syringe to fill up a silicone gummy snack mold. I used this gummy bear kit here.

  6. Let this chill in the refrigerator for 10 minutes (a bit longer if you used larger molds).

  7. Pop them out and enjoy right away or store in the fridge in an airtight container for up to a week!
