Entering the World of Digital Journaling via Digital Stickers
I’m not sure why I had such an aversion to digital journaling when I first came across it a couple years ago. I’m not a traditionalist when it comes to books (I’ve had and loved my Kindle for 10+ years now), but somehow thought that journaling and scrapbooking must remain physical.
Well…I TAKE IT BACK!
I’ve rediscovered the world of digital journaling and am not only intrigued but impressed at how great an outlet it is both emotionally and creatively. Not to mention it’s a great opportunity for me to use the iPad Air 4 that I recently got!
I’ve been enjoying taking notes in Goodnotes 5 and giving them some pizzazz with my hand drawn digital stickers.
You can also download/purchase my digital stickers! Click here to take a look.
In this video, I show you how to make your own digital stickers for use in your digital notes and journals, and I demonstrate both in Adobe Fresco and Procreate. I also talk about what I like/dislike in both apps for this particular process (of making digital stickers) and hope that will help you in determining which app you’d want to use to create your own stickers.
I’m really enjoying my iPad and also Goodnotes. The recent update (in Goodnotes 5) introduced “Elements” which is what I use to import and “paste” stickers into my Goodnotes files (notebooks/journals, notes, etc). The awesome thing about Goodnotes is that it is available for iPad and also macOS. It has both text and drawing features which is great if you have an iPad on which you prefer journaling but also want to be able to type comfortably. It also syncs across your devices; not just the notes/files, but the ELEMENTS TOO! So if you import hand drawn stickers into Goodnotes on your iPad, you can also use them on your computer! So useful and versatile.
Good job, Goodnotes.
