Simple Whipped Cream

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream, chilled

  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar

Tools

  • handheld mixer, attachments chilled in fridge/freezer before use
    OR stand mixer with the whisk attachment chilled in the fridge/freezer before use

  • medium size bowl or deep/tall cup, chilled in fridge/freezer before use

Recipe

  1. With a hand mixer or a stand mixer (depending on volume), beat the heavy whipping cream.

  2. When the cream has thickened a bit, add the powdered sugar and continue beating on high speed until stiff peaks form. Then, continue beating until the whipped cream magically thickens into a spreadable whipped cream.

  3. THEN STOP! Do not overwhip the whipped cream or else it’ll turn into butter.
